How it works
- Get in touch Message us on WhatsApp or through our contact page with your order number and what your piece needs.
- Send it in We’ll give you shipping instructions. You cover the trip to us; we recommend an insured service.
- We repair it and ship it back free Our craftsmen take care of it and return it to you by insured FedEx, at no cost to you.
Keeping your plan active
- Yearly check-up. Have your piece inspected by DiamondBoss once every 12 months. It’s free, and it catches loose prongs before a stone is lost.
- DiamondBoss craftsmen only. Repairs, resizing or alterations by another jeweller end the plan for that piece.
- Keep your order number. We’ll need it to confirm your purchase.
Plan terms
Who the plan covers
The DiamondBoss Lifetime Care Plan is included free with every piece of fine jewellery bought from DiamondBoss, online or in person, including engagement rings, wedding bands and other diamond, gemstone or karat gold jewellery. There is nothing extra to buy. The plan covers the original purchaser and cannot be transferred.
Covered services
For the lifetime of your piece, we will provide the following at no charge:
- One ring resizing, up or down by as much as two sizes, where the design allows
- Prong and mounting repairs
- Re-tipping of worn prongs
- Tightening of loose stones
- Refinishing
- Polishing
- Professional cleaning and inspection
- Replacement of damaged earring backs
- Soldering
- Unlimited rhodium plating
Keeping your plan active
- Annual inspection. Your piece must be inspected by DiamondBoss at least once every 12 months. Inspections are free. If a yearly inspection is missed, the plan ends for that piece.
- DiamondBoss craftsmen only. All repairs, resizing and custom work on the piece must be carried out by DiamondBoss or craftsmen we authorize. Work by anyone else ends the plan for that piece.
- Proof of purchase. Please provide your order number or original receipt with every service request.
- Repair decisions. This is a repair plan. DiamondBoss decides the most appropriate way to repair or service each piece.
Shipping
Contact us before sending your piece and we will provide shipping instructions. You are responsible for the cost of shipping your piece to us, and we strongly recommend an insured, tracked service. DiamondBoss is not responsible for items lost or damaged on the way to us. Once the work is done, we return your piece by insured FedEx at no cost to you.
What isn’t covered
- Replacement of diamonds or gemstones for any reason, including stones that are lost, chipped or broken
- Loss, theft or mysterious disappearance
- Damage caused by accidents, abuse, misuse, neglect or improper care
- Damage caused by fire or natural events
- Damage beyond normal wear and tear
- Pieces that have been repaired, resized or altered by anyone other than DiamondBoss
The Lifetime Care Plan is a repair and maintenance plan, not insurance. We recommend insuring your jewellery through your home insurance or a specialty jewellery insurer.
Limits
There is no deductible. DiamondBoss’s total liability under this plan is limited to the purchase price paid for the covered piece. This plan is offered in addition to, and does not limit, any rights you have under applicable consumer protection laws.
